Grapevine Gene Systems for Resistance to Gray Mold Botrytis cinerea and Powdery Mildew Erysiphe necator

چکیده
Grapevine is one of the world’s most economically important fruit crops. It known that Vitis vinifera a host for large number pathogenic agents, which significantly reduce yield and berry quality. This forces agronomists to use huge amount fungicides. Over last few decades, alternative methods solving this problem have been developed continue be developed. Such new technologies as marker-assisted selection, bioengineering rhizosphere, genetic engineering (transgenesis, cisgenesis intragenesis) allow production pathogen-resistant cultivars. However, they are linked problems. One promising creation modified non-transgenic cultivars via CRISPR/Cas9-targeted mutagenesis. Therefore, researchers actively looking target genes associated with pathogen resistance susceptibility. review elucidates main mechanisms plant—pathogen interactions, immune systems by plants, well identified susceptibility biotrophic Erysiphe necator necrotrophic Botrytis cinerea.

Effects of Bunch Rot (Botrytis cinerea) and Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator) Fungal Diseases on Wine Aroma
This study aimed to characterize the effects of bunch rot and powdery mildew on the primary quality parameter of wine, the aroma. The influence of these fungal diseases was studied by comparative Aroma Extract Dilution Analyses (AEDA) and sensory tests. The effect of bunch rot was investigated on three grape varieties, namely White Riesling, Red Riesling and Gewürztraminer and that of powdery m...

Fungal infections are detrimental for viticulture since they may reduce harvest yield and wine quality. This study aimed to characterize the effects of bunch rot and powdery mildew on wine aroma by quantification of representative aroma compounds using Stable Isotope Dilution Analysis (SIDA). For this purpose, samples affected to a high degree by each fungus were compared with a healthy sample ...
متن کاملEffects of punctuated heat stress on the grapevine powdery mildew pathogen, Erysiphe necator
Grapevine powdery mildew, caused by the ascomycete Erysiphe necator, is a major threat to grapes worldwide. Despite its global impact on grape production, E. necator is sensitive to adverse environmental conditions, such as excess heat, free water and UV radiation. Using detached leaf co-culture assays, 3-d-old single colonies of E. necator were exposed to 1, 2 or 3 consecutive d of punctuated ...
متن کاملBacillus sp. BS061 Suppresses Powdery Mildew and Gray Mold
The use of a microorganism, or its secretions, to prevent plant disease offers an attractive alternative or supplement to synthetic fungicides for the management of plant disease without the negative effects of chemical control mechanisms. During a screening for microorganisms with the potential to be used as microbial fungicides, Bacillus sp. BS061 was isolated from a plant leaf. The strain BS...
متن کاملRUN1 and REN1 Pyramiding in Grapevine (Vitis vinifera cv. Crimson Seedless) Displays an Improved Defense Response Leading to Enhanced Resistance to Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator)
Fungal pathogens are the cause of the most common diseases in grapevine and among them powdery mildew represents a major focus for disease management. Different strategies for introgression of resistance in grapevine are currently undertaken in breeding programs. For example, introgression of several resistance genes (R) from different sources for making it more durable and also strengthening t...
